Life is what you make it. I recently moved from a quiet town in the country to chase my big city dreams. Nothing ever goes smoothly, nothing is ever what it seems, but everyday I am getting closer. I am yet another slightly less-than-average girl trying to find her way in London, and in life.

Kettlercise: exercise to the extreme.

After 5 years of 'dieting' I have finally began fighting the fat and have lost two stone in the last two months. Mostly, that was due to cutting out the ridiculous amount of alcohol I used to drink on a daily basis, now just saving the alcohol for weekends or special events. After an annoying lull, I have decided to up the exercise to kick my fat in the ass. Monday I went to Yogalates (which was so much fun, but my god did I ache like crazy yesterday), then Aquafit (insanely dull, I felt like I had a better work out walking to-and-from the car), my normal Zumba on a Tuesday and Thursday, and tonight I am trying out Kettlercise. It is brand spanking new to me, but with rumours that you can burn around 1000 calories an hour, it has definitely got to be done! I have been really tempted to try and take up some running lately, with the NHS Couch to 5K podcasts and the Zombies, run! app there to entice me. But, safe to say I haven't got around to downloading either, so I have slowly come to terms with the fact that I am definitely not a runner. So, my search continues to find things that are both fun and fabulously fat-busting. With a marketing campaign that suggests, "You are doing the equivilant of a 10k run without ever leaving your mat!" it sounds like a winner.

So, my first class is tonight in about an hour. I am pretty freaked out by how intense it sounds and I think I might live to regret it, but I am determined to give it a shot. Wish me luck and I will let you know how it goes later!
